If by chance we met in person, you would soon discover that I’m all about my husband and kiddos. My life revolves around them – keeping them clean, fed, loved, and most of the time – happy. If you got to know me a little bit better, you would find out that there are 4 of those kiddos between the ages of 6-15, and we’ve just completed our 11th year of homeschooling together. About 4 years ago, God interrupted our small-town, Rockwellian lifestyle and planted us in the middle of a ministry to military Brats. We now reside far from our Kansas home and within earshot of one of the largest military installations in our country. The ministry involves loving kids, living life with kids, and introducing them to the life-giver, Jesus Christ. (http://www.mcym.org/). Whenever I do find a few moments of free time, I love to read, play the piano, paint, draw, and scrapbook. I also love perusing thrift stores, going antiquing, and photography (although I’m very much an amateur). I also love office supplies and organizing things. My personal quirks.
As a follower of Christ, my desire is to know him better, to give without reserve, to be thankful in all things, and to freely give of the bountiful grace that God has given to me. I don’t believe that you can segment life into the secular and the sacred. It’s all sacred – it all belongs to Him and should be lived out in reference to His endless love and His amazing grace.
As I share my life with you through this blog, I hope you experience His love and leave encouraged by His grace.
“The God who made the world and everything in it
…gives everyone life and breath and all things…
in Him we live and move and have our being.”
Acts 17:24-28 (excerpts)
